i have a bunch of mini story/comic ideas from when my mom and I drove to
Georgia earlier this year, all from the perspective of animals
scavenging or traveling down an area they call the haunted road side
diner. this particular comic was inspired by how weird it is to see
garbage bags left by prisoner clean up crews left in a neat line down
the median with no one in sight, and suspicious bags left by even more
suspicious trucks on the side of the road.
cozy blankets: where do you feel the most safe and at home?
there are two answers here! In terms of physical place, I feel the most at home in Chicago. In terms of a more figurative definition, I feel the most at home wherever I’m with my partner, even when it’s somewhere completely unfamiliar and/or intimidating
holding hands: do you believe in soulmates?
I don’t believe in predestined soulmates, but I definitely believe two (or more!) people can fit together in a way that makes them greater than the sum of their parts, and that’s what I think of as soulmates
(the other two I answered before I got to your ask!)
